A couple of weeks ago I took a work-related trip to San Diego as part of a press trip for Kia Motors USA. They flew me down with a few other influencers to check out the eco-friendly options that Kia offers (hint: It’s impressive!) and to show us a good time in San Diego. The trip was fairly short, only 3 days, but it was jam-packed activities as we explored San Diego and beyond. Today I’m sharing a little insight into what I packed and wore for this action-packed short trip.
Have you ever been to the same place twice and had a totally new experienced the second time around? We visited a local beach that we had been to before, but not explored much beyond hte sand. It’s called Bean Hollow State Beach and it’s closed to Pescadero, California. Now there’s Bean Hollow State Beach and there’s Bean Hollow State Beach, if you know what I mean. These two beaches may share the same name and reside in the same recreational area, but there’s quite a difference between the two. Bean Hollow Pebble Beach is on the very Northern tip of Bean Hollow State Beach and is a world apart from it’s sandy cove cousin.
With all of my talk lately about staying in California and exploring more of it, I thought I’d take it back a little bit to our trip last year to Sea Ranch. We drove north along Highway 1 and ultimately stopped at Jug Handle State Beach.
Fall is my favorite time at the beach in California. It’s always less crowded and more fun to visit when you’re not baking in the hot Summer sun. This Fall I partnered with Lexus to do a drive down the coast in their RC F model and had a blast driving it down my favorite part of the beautiful California coastline. I brought my friend Elisabeth along, and we drove down Highway 1 from San Francisco to Santa Cruz. The weather was beautiful and the traffic was light as we left San Francisco. We stopped along the way at Devil’s slide, Half Moon Bay, Redondo Beach, Pigeon Point Lighthouse, Natural Bridges, and West Side Santa Cruz for dinner. We also made a ton of other little stops too, because Highway 1 is breathtaking.
