A few weeks ago when the boys were on Spring Break, we were invited up to the Lake Tahoe area by Resort at Squaw Creek. Not having spent a lot of time around the snow yet, I happily obliged. I took my Mom and the boys up for what would be a snowier than expectedRead More

Not really, but I was the morning I wore this late Summer outfit. It was a little end-of-trip breakfast catamaran cruise during my trip to North Lake Tahoe. I resisted buying anything off-the-shoulder for the entire Summer, then finally broke down in the end. I love that the off the shoulder dress from J.Crew I’m wearing isn’t fitted and can actually be worn on or off the shoulder (versatile!). It’s going to Jamaica with me for sure. Still loving these slides, and will probably do so until I’m forced to wear real shoes (ugh).Read More

A couple of weekends ago I headed off for a relaxing weekend in North Lake Tahoe. The weekend was a sort-of wellness retreat with a few other bloggers at Hyatt Lake Tahoe. The invite could not have come at a better time since I’ve been on the go and working longer hours than I usually do. Between work and school starting for both of my littles I was in need of some time to myself around the healing waters of Lake Tahoe. We’ve gone before as a family during both Winter and Summer and I always feel so refreshed after a visit to the lake. There is something magical about it, and I think most people who visit feel that way. It’s a mere 3-4 hour drive from my house in the Bay Area, so it makes for an easy weekend getaway.Read More

A couple of weeks ago I had a wellness weekend with Hyatt Lake Tahoe. They invited me up for a little fun and self-care at their beautiful location on Lake Tahoe (Disclosure: My stay was sponsored by Hyatt Lake Tahoe but all opinions are of course, my own). Living in California, Tahoe has always been a special place for us to go for quick getaways. Not only is it drop dead beautiful, there is something magical and healing about the lake. Lately I’ve been through some health issues (more later), so it was nice to get away and spend some time on me.
I wore this outfit to dinner on the lake one night, and I have to say this dress is one of my favorites. I got it from J.Crew a few years ago and it still wears so well. It’s silky and a flattering cut, easy to dress up or down. Recently I’ve also been in love with these slides from Melissa. They’re easy enough to slide on (ha!) and they’re waterproof so that’s a huge bonus for me with trips to the pool and beach.Read More
