Monterey County has always been a beautiful place to visit, whether I’m at the beach or in the town, nature plays a big part of that beauty. After all of my recent travels near and far, I’ve been a little desperate for some time along the coast and most importantly, some much-needed family time. This weekend we took a daytrip to Monterey County, and I’ve partnered with See Monterey to share our 12 hour Monterey City Guide with you. Whether you’re headed down from the SF Bay Area, or just stopping during a Highway 1 roadtrip, these activities will give you a good feeling for the Monterey area.
Not really, but I was the morning I wore this late Summer outfit. It was a little end-of-trip breakfast catamaran cruise during my trip to North Lake Tahoe. I resisted buying anything off-the-shoulder for the entire Summer, then finally broke down in the end. I love that the off the shoulder dress from J.Crew I’m wearing isn’t fitted and can actually be worn on or off the shoulder (versatile!). It’s going to Jamaica with me for sure. Still loving these slides, and will probably do so until I’m forced to wear real shoes (ugh).
A couple of weekends ago I headed off for a relaxing weekend in North Lake Tahoe. The weekend was a sort-of wellness retreat with a few other bloggers at Hyatt Lake Tahoe. The invite could not have come at a better time since I’ve been on the go and working longer hours than I usually do. Between work and school starting for both of my littles I was in need of some time to myself around the healing waters of Lake Tahoe. We’ve gone before as a family during both Winter and Summer and I always feel so refreshed after a visit to the lake. There is something magical about it, and I think most people who visit feel that way. It’s a mere 3-4 hour drive from my house in the Bay Area, so it makes for an easy weekend getaway.
