Dream Inn Hotel Review

Santa Cruz Dream Inn Hotel Review Santa Cruz Dream Inn Hotel Review Santa Cruz Dream Inn Hotel ReviewFor our little getaway to Santa Cruz, we stayed at the Dream Inn. It’s situated on West Cliff Drive, directly on the sand. It’s also conveniently located next to the Beach Boardwalk and Wharf. For years as a little girl my family would visit the beach and I’d dream of being able to stay close to it for longer than a day.

Room
We stayed in an Ocean View Executive King Room. It wasn’t exactly budget friendly, but was well worth the dough. The decor was very retro-chic and the floorplan was spacious (though sadly, it did not have the sweet surfboard decor like on their website). It was spotless. The room had plenty of extras like real coffee cups, magazines, a wardrobe, toiletries, and luxurious robes. I wore one down to the hot tub instead of my own because it was thicker and kept me warm for the walk down.

Amenities
Ocean views, beach access, pool, hot tub, and a great restaurant; what more could you ask for? Well into the evening of our stay I had some trouble using one of the wine openers and to make a long story short, room service had to come to our room a few times to help get the bottle open. It took a lot of effort on their part and they were always happy to help. Since I knew we were checking out in the morning I left our breakfast order on the doorknob and it arrived perfect and on time the next morning.

Overall I’d rate this hotel a 10/10. The only thing I didn’t like was that due to the location and proximity to the ocean, valet parked cars are actually parked across the street. My car was safe while we were there, and everything else, from the room, to service, and food was all perfect.

I love this! I would love to stay here for a day to 2 or more B| 😀

Looks like a great stay. Love the beach!

We stayed here for part of our honeymoon and it was gorgeous!

What a gorgeous view out your window! Sounds like a great vacation 🙂

Sounds like a beautiful place! I need a warm beach and relaxation right now. Gorgeous pictures!

Gorgeous hotel! Makes me want to plan a vacation!

That hotel is beautiful! The pool was calling my name. 🙂

I believe picture are worth more than a thousand words, and you nailed it. Considering a vacation at Santa Cruz and at the hotel. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! It’s a great location, lots of walkable stuff. Could spend the day walking along West Cliff alone, stopping off at beaches, etc.

Too many ads, girl!

I wish this were sponsored. This is simply an honest review of a place we stayed. It is not sponsored in any way, and if it were it would be properly disclosed as such. I don’t want to leave out somewhere we had a good time, just like I didn’t leave out that a hotel was not all I expected it to be either: http://www.teamwiking.com/2014/08/14/review-hilton-san-jose/

All I can say is wow! What an amazing place to stay! You must have felt like a queen.

It felt pretty nice. 🙂

I need to go to santa Cruz again and stay over night. we are somehow always rushing through on our way somewhere else. This hotel seams to be really dreamy. Will keep it in mind. 🙂 Happy Monday!

I feel that way about other places sometimes too, especially Half Moon Bay lately. We always drive through and don’t stay long.

I knew I recognized that area of beach you photographed. I saw that lovely hotel, unfortunately, Dave and I stayed just down the street. Maybe next time …

It was a nice stay. I haven’t really stayed overnight in Santa Cruz since I was a little girl, so it was a fun sort of ‘first’ as an adult.
