I apologize in advance for the obscene amount of photos in this post. I promise they are worth the load time! Recently I had the pleasure of attending a really awesome photography workshop (more later) in Southern California, so a friend and I took the opportunity to drive down Highway 1 from my house to the workshop. It is a drive that I’ve been dreaming about for awhile and although I’ve done most of this section before, it was storming this time and it made for really vibrant landscape plus or minus the couple of small rockslides we had to navigate around. All together it took about 8.5 hours including all of our stops and slow downs for photo ops. I highly recommend it to everyone visiting California, and even for those who live here. It’s one of the reasons that my heart swoons for my home, California!

P.S. How do you like my serious driving face? I promise I only make it when I’m having my photo taken while driving.

i don’t mind all the photos either. they’re great! reminds me of the great ocean road in australia i did last year.

Thanks! Ooh, I’m so jealous, the Great Ocean Road is on my wishlist!

beautiful! don’t mind at all the load of photos, love it!

Thanks, will keep that in mind! I just worry about load times on the front page.

I just did this drive back in November and it was BEAUTIFUL. So much to see! Though I hope the rain you got didn’t damper any fun.

We just kept a sunny outlook during the drive and luckily didn’t incur any major landslides, eek!
