During our trip to Lake Tahoe I was determined to go on at least one good hike. Early one morning we headed down to Chimney Beach. The air was cool and crisp and the sun had yet made it’s way over the mountain tops. Steve ended up with more of a workout since Søren rode on his shoulders all the way down. At the bottom we enjoyed a snack. We also did some exploring by foot and air, and Steve even managed to take a dronie of all of us together with his RC Helicopter.

The delicious snack featured on our hike are bars from Taste of Nature. The were so kind to provide them for our trip. I have to admit that when I first saw them I thought they looked like bird food, but they taste absolutely amazing. The kids loved them too, especially Aiden. I like to always have a little something in my purse/diaper bag just in case I get hungry while on the go and they are perfect for it. The bars are organic, gmo-free, kosher, vegan, and gluten free! 1. I’m from California too! I’m always looking for cool places to hike with my family so this post was right on time. Your photo’s were gorgeous too 🙂 Thank you for sharing

  2. that’s so cool that you got that footage!! a friend of ours had a quadcopter that pretty much flew away with his camera. 😮 He still can’t find it. makes me kind of scared to use one. also loved the change you made to the header. 🙂

  3. Chimney beach looks so gorgeous. I’d love to visit there with all my bests and a few drinks and stay camped around the fire all evening. Perfect!

  4. At first i thought such beautiful pictures!! and then i saw it’s Lake Tahoe.. DUH! My favorite place ever 🙂 it’s our Home Away from Home.. Is this in North Shore? I haven’t heard of Chimney beach.. we always stay in South lake.,.

    1. Yes, it’s just south of Sand Harbor. There is an unmarked parking lot on the side of the highway. It is about a 10 minute hike down, but a bit longer to get back up, haha.
