Hyatt Carmel Highlands

Hyatt Carmel Highlands Review Hyatt Carmel Highlands Review

I know that I’ve talked about our wedding before, but I didn’t mention much about our accommodations for our wedding night. We stayed at the same place we got married, Hyatt Carmel Highlands. I feel like I shouldn’t have slacked so much because they were nothing short of amazing.

Room
I don’t know if I was just in a post-wedding haze, but the room we stayed in was absolutely dreamy. I made sure to fully enjoy a relaxing bath and then cozy up by the fireplace. We were greeted with chocolate covered strawberries and champagne (a must for the first night of your honeymoon, right?) and it set the perfect tone for the rest of our getaway.

Amenities
My favorite thing about this hotel is that it boasts a lot of the same amenities as a larger hotel in a more private-boutique package. It includes all of the standard amenities you would expect, with the added bonus of complimentary mountain bikes. I would very highly recommend visiting the Pacific’s Edge Restaurant for dinner one night, it was the best food I’ve ever had, hands down.

Overall I would give this hotel a 10/10, and not just because it’s where we got married. We returned again for our babymoon in 2012 and experienced the same warm and wonderful service.

As always your pictures are breathtaking. I love the idea of a smaller boutique hotel but with that same larger hotel feel. The grounds look gorgeous as well.

What a lovely looking place to stay. I love Carmel.

OMG the view from your hotel room – I don’t think I saw pictures from the hotel room/hotel itself, but I do remember China Cove because I couldn’t get that scenery out of my head, and that’s why I knew I had to take my husband to Carmel for our mini 2-day honeymoon <3

What a gorgeous place to stay! Girl, you gotta share your hookup on this one- this is an amazing place to stay!

BEAUTIFUL! I am just insanely jealous right now! So gorgeous! 🙂

i really love big sur. we always drive through, so we haven’t stayed anywhere yet.. but i feel like i would really love to stay there. we’re going to carmel in a few months, and i feel like i might feel the same way about it! 🙂

Oh my gosh, it looks GORGEOUS!

This place is gorgeous! I love hotel rooms that come with a fireplace–seriously romantic. If I had to pick one place to visit over and over again, it would be London. I’m only a little obsessed with that city! 🙂

Oh, this place looks LOVELY. I think Kauai would probably be my favorite Groundhog Day location, but it’s truly SO hard to pick! I might change my mind in an hour! 🙂

Beautiful! I’ve never been to Carmel before and am hoping to visit over Thanksgiving break this year. I’ve never repeated very many hotels, but I’d love to go back to the gorgeous all-inclusive we stayed in Cabo this summer. Happy Wednesday:)
