I’ve been dreaming about somewhere warm and tropical for awhile now, I think it’s the winter blues setting in (you know, harsh winters in California). Today’s Travel Light post takes us to Tortola, one of the British Virgin Islands. I’ve never been but I’m sure if you go at the right time of year it is a tropical paradise.

Hello, I LOVE the hat you have posted in your blog… the link is broken but I wanted to know if you know or remember the name of the brand that made it? thanks!

Hi Megan, thanks! It looks like it is a Maison Michel hat but my favorite brand right now for this style of hat is Janessa Leone. Best of luck on your search!

My biggest problem with traveling is that I always over pack. I’m getting ready for my best friend’s wedding in Mexico and I’ll be spending an additional 9 days there just to relax so this is super helpful!
thanks!

You need 3 swimsuits, 2 shorts and 3 tees….thats it!!! Long jeans there and you will roast….

I have been to Tortola and the British Virgin Islands, I brought long white jeans and they were perfect for the plane ride there. You wont think of putting them on once you get to the Island, its just too warm and humid! All the clothes above are perfect! I would add a couple more bathing suits and cover ups. Just booked another Catamaran trip! It’s amazing! Enjoy…

With an average temperature of mid 70’s in February, I wouldn’t throw long jeans out. I probably wouldn’t pack long jeans in mid-summer though. I am accustomed to warmer weather (living in California) and even humidity and it takes high 80’s to get me out of my long jeans.

I just actually booked 10 days in Tortola and then I see this. Amazing! Can’t wait.

[…] I’m quite possibly the world’s worst packer. Here’s the solution. […]

Gorgeous set! I love how the simple addition of the bright lipstick takes it to a whole new level.

Those Chanel inspired slip-on shoes are now avail at Target! Tried them on last night but they looked ugg on me 🙁

I absolutely love the detailing on the swim suit. It’s so beautiful!

IKR. I wish that style looked nice on me!

Great choices! I’d like them all. I’d also like to go to the BVIs one day!

I know, right. The hat is calling my name. I might have to DIY it, hahaha.
