Packing for Puerto Vallarta
Above: Cuyana Summer Hat, Illesteva Leonard Mirrored Sunglasses, J.Crew Gladiator Sandals (Similar by Madewell), Shop Ban.do All Around Giant Monstera Towel, The Five Minute Journal, the sun and her flowers by Rupi Kaur, Filt Mesh Bag (similar here).

Today I’m off on a press trip to Puerto Vallarta and I’m excited to head someplace warm and tropical. Much like my trip to Jamaica, most of the clothing I packed is black. Would you expect anything else? I’ll share my full packing list later on, but today I’m sharing a few of my favorite accessories that I’m packing for Puerto Vallarta.

Puerto Vallarta Favorites:

SHOP BAN.DO
Giant Monstera Towel
As a plant lover I’ve had my eye on this for quite some time and I’m really excited to bring it on this trip.

CUYANA
Summer Hat
A favorite of mine on many trips, this hat is the perfect size to block the sun, but has the perfect shape to still look stylish in urban areas.

RUPI KAUR
the sun and her flowers
After reading milk and honey, I had to pick up this one as well. While it’s an easy read, it’s also heavy and full of passion.

FILT
Mesh Bag
I picked a couple of these up during my trip to Napa and they make for the perfect beach bag because the mesh allows the sand to shake right out. I’ve linked to a similar one.
SHOP NOW
ILLESTEVA
Leonard Mirrored Sunglasses
Years ago I picked these up and alternate them in waves with my large round black pair. These add a little spunk to an all black outfit, perfect for this trip.

  1. J would totally rock out that sun hat. All I need is two shirts, couple pair of flip flops and shorts! Good to go!

  2. A mesh bag is a good idea when you’re spending time at the beach. I haven’t been to Puerto Vallarta but I would love to do so. A trip to the beach is in the pipeline, so we will seriously consider this place.

  3. I make it a point to pack light when we are going on a beach trip. Only the essentials go into my bag. I love your sunglasses. The design is really cool!
