Sandos Finisterra Hotel Review

Earlier this year we went on a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I shared a little with you before about our first all-inclusive stay, but I didn’t write an official review.

Room
We stayed at Sandos Finisterra, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. For this trip we chose a Junior Ocean View Suite, to give us room for 2 adults and 2 kids and some wiggle room. The accommodations were well styled, and kept nice and clean. My favorite part of our room was not only the view, but the tile floors and dining table. We had a water dispenser in our room, and housekeeping was very timely and polite. The bathroom had a nice deep tub, which made it easy to keep the boys clean. To be honest we didn’t spend a ton of time in our room, most of the time we spent was out by the pool.

Amenities
The amenities were wonderful. The hotel sits on the Pacific Ocean side of Cabo San Lucas, so you can not swim in the ocean, but the 360 degree view is unparalleled. It is across the street from the marina, and an easy walking distance to downtown. At the hotel there are plenty of family friendly activities centered around one of the three swimming pools overlooking the ocean, and there is also a kid’s club if you’d like a little time to yourself. There were activities scheduled throughout the day, my personal favorite was water zumba. I’ve never tried it before so I felt a little funny, but it was a ton of fun once I just let myself get into it. One of the pools included a swim-up bar and beverage service was offered in most of the outdoor areas. The hotel also has a nightclub, coffee shop, bar, and spa. I’m a little proud of my husband for winning a massage for me in a competition at the pool. During our stay we only planned to leave the resort once for a whale watching tour, and it ended up being canceled because of a squall. After doing some quick souvenir shopping we returned back to our little paradise on the beach.

Overall I would give this hotel a 10/10. I’m not usually this generous with my ratings but we spent 99.9% of our time here and had the best time. The hotel was very clean, service was impeccable, the food was delicious, and we’d love to make a return trip one day.

this makes me want to take a vacation ASAP! Such gorgeous pictures! Love your blog, by the way. 🙂

This place looks super beautiful, I’d totally love to go on trip here 🙂

Cabo is on my short list of places to visit. Everyone that has been there says it is breathtakingly beautiful.

Awesome! Thanks so much for the suggestion. I’m always looking for a new place to take our little guy that still seems like a ‘vacation’ for us too.

Your photos are out of this world! Did you use a drone for the aerial shots??

What a geourgeous place! I loved the room, so beautiful, clean and comfortable. And my son would love those pools!

It’s been a few years since we’ve been to Cabo. It’s definitely on our list for next year. So beautiful!

Amazing photos! You took the kids too — I applaud your bravery 😉 Glad you weren’t there for the hurricane a few weeks ago. This makes me want to visit!

This place looks stunning! We are hoping to do an all-inclusive trip next year so I’ll have to check this place out.

In all honesty it was very, very nice. When comparing to our cruise the food quality, service, etc. was blown out of the water. And the price was SO perfect!

Wow, Cabo looks AMAZING! Look at the beautiful blue colours of that ocean and the golden sands. What a dream.

Wow, that places is amazeballs! I am always trying to get my hubby to Mexico – I think this might be the place to convince him!

Ooh, good luck! We had a blast.

This place looks so nice! I’ve never been to Cabo, but would like to. Nice review!

I have ALWAYS wanted to visit Cabo and your pictures are giving me total travel envy! I love an all inclusive hotel that you never need to leave in order to have a good time and I can see how that could be even better for traveling families. Your pics are gorge as always 🙂 thank you for sharing!

This has to go on my list of places I need to stay! Great review and gorgeous shots!

What a beautiful place! The hotel must be amazing if you spent most your time there instead of at the gorgeous beach!

Cabo San Lucas is such a beautiful place! This hotel looks like a gorgeous one!

Okay, that second picture?! AMAZING! I just want to insert myself into that beautiful atmosphere <3

It looks lovely and relaxing there. I love that last picture especially.

I’ve only been to the east coast of Mexico, but I’ve always wanted to head over to Cabo! Looks like y’all had an awesome time–pinning this to my travel board!

I’ve never been somewhere tropical. Ever. I guess if you count San Diego, where I got the worst burn of my entire life (no exaggeration – then again you were there, you saw). I’d totally go to Hawaii first though. Sounds so dreamy.

I want that last picture set as my desktop background.

My husband and I went to Cabo for the first time in June of this year. We stayed at an all-inclusive, which was for adults only (a fun way to travel when you don’t have kids yet!). It was super nice and relaxing and we hardly needed to leave the resort area. I can’t wait to go back to Cabo and hope they get all the damage repaired soon. I’m sure tourists will help in the recovery efforts by coming back and spending!

That sounds like so much fun! I looked at a place that was adults only but obviously it didn’t work out for us, haha. I hope they are al up and running soon, too.
