Monthly Musings
During winter break we partnered with Lexus to take a little drive up to the Sierra Nevada mountains. They span most of eastern California, including Lake Tahoe and Yosemite. South of there lies a small town called Strawberry that we used to go to often as kids. It’s near Pinecrest Lake. We took a day trip up while staying with family so the boys could enjoy some time in the snow. While we didn’t find much snow on the main roads, a quick trip off the beaten path landed us near a meadow that was perfect for them to play in. Aiden really enjoyed making things out of it (frozen sandbox, anyone?) and Søren’s favorite activity was the sled, even after he ate some ice.

As always, aerial photos by my talented husband, Hovership.
Such a cool aerial shot of you guys driving down in the snow. Was this the first time Soren saw snow, or no? It’s so funny to see this in California and I know it’s a regular thing (especially in the Tahoe area). It definitely doesn’t look like a cold dreary day like you’d have in Canada!
I’m just glad I’m in the warmer part of California now. T-shirt weather! Woo woo!
That pic of you pushing Soren down the hill is adorable. I want to frame that one of his happy smile!
Søren has seen snow before but not really any that you could play in. There were small patches last year in Tahoe in November. You guys should head to Tahoe!
