One of my favorite parts of our day is just before bed. Dinner is done, baths are done, and pajamas are on. The sun stretches its rays well into bedtime. Being a mom of two boys, I know it’s not always easy to get them both settled down, especially with Søren’s age. Our favorite thing to do at quiet time is read. When Aiden was little one of his most cherished possessions was The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. He was even able to recite the book from memory before he could read.

I’m so very happy to be able to share with you that Eric Carle has teamed up with Gymboree to create an adorable line of pajamas and playwear. They’ve also created themed kid-friendly activities including coloring and activity sheets, activities, an iPhone app, and a contest. I’ve included details about the contest below.

Gymboree Contest

Inspired by Eric Carle’s Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See, from 9/2-9/30, we will be hosting a photo contest, where we are encouraging parents to help their little ones take a picture of what they see.

Entrants can submit a photo via Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr or via our designated direct photo upload site, using the hashtag, #WhatDoYouSee.

For even more fun, download our iPhone app so you and your little one can add some Eric Carle fun to your photos and play a caterpillar game!

Entrants of the #WhatDoYouSee contest will have the chance of winning one of ten Eric Carle gift baskets including: A House for Hermit Crab book, a signed copy of The Very Hungry Caterpillar book, figurines, stickers, The Very Hungry Caterpillar Sippy Cup, Chunky Colored Pencils, Match and Munch Game, Place Mats Book, and Stage & Play (Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) $144.99).

The winners will be announced at the end of the contest period, which is 9/30/14.

  1. Oh I love anything Eric Carle and these jammies are too darn cute! I love the pi’s from Gymboree because they are such high quality and don’t irritate my little girls’ skin. Your boys are adorable!

  2. What an adorable post 🙂 your boys look so precious reading their books and jumping around. I know what you mean about it being hard during bed time and trying to settle down the kids, it’s such a struggle sometimes. Love your blog!

  3. I love the relationship between your sons!!! This moment right before bed seems so precious in the photos as well as the words! The PJs are awesome too!!! I’d never heard the term “play wear” Love it!

  4. Aww, bedtime stories were my favorite part of my night as a child. I cannot wait to give the same thing to my future children. It is absolutely important! I love the way Soren looks in these pictures – such character!

  5. Ahhhh bedtime! Definitely one of my hardest time as a parent — bedtime. But, for me, one of the cutest outfits my little ones own, their PJs. Gymboree for sure is one of my fav brands. Great quality – does not shrink after a wash, and can be worn through all kids’ adventures…lol.
