“Take three pictures.”
Søren didn’t hesitate.
“I want to see you camer, mama!”
“What do you want to take a picture of, Søren?”
Aiden hesitated a bit, but I handed him the camera with the same instructions.
“Three pictures? Of anything?”
“Yes, anything you’d like.”
“I like this train.”
“Can you hold this for me?”
“What are these pictures for?”
“Just the blog.”, I replied.
And he went about playing and eating a snack. He was very clear and precise about what he wanted to photograph.
Part of me was curious, eager to know what they would choose to photograph. I love that Søren’s photos come from a place of love. He loves Aiden so much, as well as the outdoors and anything nature related. We’ve also had a rough week in the parent-child relationship department so it warmed my heart to know he wanted to photograph our spot. Aiden’s photos were very practical and thought out decisions, including all of his current favorites. The trains he plays with Søren almost daily, Make magazine is his favorite, and the strandbeest was a Christmas gift from Steve, something they built together.
