2010 sure was a year of change for us. Some of us experienced more than others, but all in all it’s been for the better.
In January we celebrated the new year with studio lights and doggies.
Steve took a trip to Germany and Belgium for work.
Aiden lost his first tooth.
In February I took a trip to Memphis, Tennessee to take some photos for a client.
We moved away from a neighborhood we knew and loved so that we could progress towards a dream we shared.
In March I celebrated my 25th Birthday.
I also lost a childhood pet (RIP Little Bear).
We celebrated our 3rd Earth Hour by watching from Treasure Island.
In April we planted our garden.
We also spent lots of time at the park. It’s in walking distance of our new house. It’s also next to Aiden’s new school.
Aiden likes to play in the backyard.
So does Ellie.
We also spent more quality time together around the house.
In May we returned to Kauai, this time with Aiden.
We hiked the Napali Trail…
.. to Hanakapi’ai beach.
And to the top of Waimea Canyon.
We also took a trip to Knights Ferry, California.
In June Aiden graduated Kindergarten.
We celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary. We had our photos taken in part of our wedding attire as part of a tradition that we hope to carry on every year.
In July, for the 4th of July, we watched the fireworks at Central Park in Santa Clara. It’s always a great show.
Aiden and I spent some time exploring.
In August we drove down the coast all the way to Sand Dollar Beach (Plaskett, CA). My family camped there every year growing up.
Aiden started first grade at his new school. We walk home every day, rain or shine.
I had my 3rd annual Cupcake party. I won first place with my Lemon Macadamia cupcakes.
Aiden lost his 3rd tooth (after both center)!
In September Steve took Aiden to an air show.
I was featured on Groupon for Photography. With 811 new clients coming my way, I quit my day job!
In October Aiden lost his 4th tooth.
We explored some more.
I helped plan Aiden’s class Halloween party.
We went to Arata Farms to get our pumpkins.
Then we carved them.
And trick or treated.
In November Aiden turned 7!
We went to Chicago to visit Steve’s parents for Thanksgiving. We had the first few days to ourselves and stayed downtown. Aiden spent his time drawing what he saw outside and snapping photos.
In December we took our own Christmas photos.
I helped plan Aiden’s class holiday party.
And then we finished out the end of the year by packing up the doggies and heading to Modesto to spend Christmas and Steve’s 27th birthday with my family.
Goodbye 2010, hello 2011!
