I’ve been thinking a lot about our trip to Iceland, and what I’ll pack in my bag. I still have a little bit of shopping for Iceland to do, but here are a few items I’ve had on my mind for our trip in a few short weeks. Do you have any other suggestions for me? If so, I’d love to hear them.
Spiewak Aviator Eskimo Parka & Everlane Chunky Wool Beanie
The high during the summer is around 55F, which is pretty far from warm for this California girl. The parka should keep me warm enough so that I don’t need to always wear multiple layers, and the beanie should help when paired with a nice sweater.
Canon G9X Camera & CamDive Waterproof Housing
The potential for coming across water in Iceland is pretty high, whether it’s a big misty waterfall, or a hot spring to relax in. We also have a couple of other trips planned that involve water, so I thought it would be a wise investment to buy a camera that can go underwater.
The Canon G9X can shoot in manual mode, as well as output raw files which was a huge draw for me as a photographer and DSLR owner. The CamDive housing came highly recommended, and with the little bit of testing I’ve done so far, has worked out well.
Onia One Piece Halter Swimsuit
Since there is plenty of water in Iceland, we’re really looking forward to a dip in the blue lagoon or any other natural springs in the area.

I have one pair of athletic shoes, and since I’ve taken up running every day again mine seem to be wearing quickly. Not only are these stylish, they’re also light. Perfect for travel!
