Fall Uniform, Two Ways

Now that the temperatures here have been consistently below 80F, it’s starting to feel more like Fall. I usually like Fall here with it’s milder days and cool nights, perfect for hanging around a campfire or just being in the outdoors for the evening. Today I’ve partnered with Zappos & Lucky Brand to share a couple of outfits that could be my perfect Fall uniform, both dark and light. I love that Lucky Brand was founded in California (Los Angeles) years and years ago and continue to maintain that cool California vibe. If you know anything about me, it’s that I’m a California girl through and through.

I really love to wear all black often, but it can sometimes feel like too much, or too edgy. In the darker outfit I’m wearing all black, but have softened it up with a hint of color in the boots. They take the edge off just enough to make the outfit feel California casual. I like that these ankle boots are so versatile, and also picture myself wearing them with a shorter dress and leather jacket for warmer Fall days.

In this light outfit, I wanted to keep it neutral with a little bit of a Fall feeling. I think the suede on the wedges is perfect to say Fall without diving head first into something that tastes like pumpkin. They’re a great transitional piece, and fit true to size! I was a little surprised at how easy they were to walk in, because I normally don’t do well with wedges.

This weekend I had a trip to Charleston that needed to push back by a couple of weeks, so I’m going to spend some time organizing the house and continuing on my.. Fall? cleaning mission.
