This week has been a hard one. You must be living under a rock or completely oblivious if you’re not in need of a little positivity right now. I have to say that I’ve been completely unmotivated to do anything this week, and although I don’t like to discuss politics on my blog, watching the behavior of some of my fellow Americans has been anything but a pleasurable experience. It’s been such a hard, hard week for everyone, and (assuming you are American) no matter who you voted for, some positive thinking and good juju is probably in order. I’ve taken some time to compile some of my favorite inspiring quotes that help me look ahead to a brighter future, for all Americans.
Although the negativity this week is strong, I’ve seen a lot of good come out of this week too. One of the best articles I’ve read talked about bridging the gap by finding something in common with people who have differing views. It’s easier to hate than to love when you feel like you have nothing in common. I’d love for you to leave a note in the comments with just one thing you have in common with those who have views different than your own. I’m willing to bet that there is more than you think, and the more you think about it, the more you can change your mindset.
What is something you have in common with someone of differing views? Do you have a favorite inspiring quote to share as well?
