During my whirlwind trip to British Columbia, one of the places I stayed was at the Sparkling Hill Resort in Vernon, British Columbia. The resort is called sparkling hill because as you can see from the photos, it’s sparkling! All of the little details were inspired by crystals and their facets right up to the giant windowed entryway.
In the actual rooms, crystals were everywhere from the light fixtures to a crystal sculpture inside a glass case that lit up like a fireplace at night. I’m not normally one for a lot of over-the-top sparkly, but I felt like I was in a fairy tale while I was here. The rooms were very spacious and the floor-to-ceiling wall-to-wall windows allowed you to take in a panoramic view of the valley or lake. A visit to their award-winning spa could yield you anything from an upper body massage (like I received), up to a cryogenic sauna (not brave enough for that one). Other property amenities include a stunning infinity pool that overlooks the lake, which is only accessible via the spa.
All in all the resort was beautiful and the views were unbeatable, but the service was minimal. I tend to prefer minimal service, but for some it may be a downside.
My visit to the Sparkling Hill Resort was sponsored as part of my trip to British Columbia with Genesis USA.
