When I visited Alaska, it was during a cruise. I kept thinking about how it would be different to visit on our own, and what it would be like. Today I have Julia Engel of Gal Meets Glam to talk about her adventures in Alaska.
Can you share a little bit about yourself?
I’m a really creative person who is constantly inspired by my surroundings, so I love to travel to get new ideas.
When did you visit Alaska?
We went in May 2015.
What was your favorite thing to do there? If you haven’t been there, what would you wish to do there?
We did so many activities like going on a glacier cruise, fishing, and hiking but everyone’s favorite was ATVing near Denali National Park.
What 5 items would you recommend to pack for a trip to Alaska?
Hunter Boots, Ray Ban Aviators, Patagonia Fleece, Hiking Boots, A Great Hat
Can you share one last tip for anyone who would like to visit?
Go with friends, rent a car and explore. Alaska is massive but you should still try and see as much as you can. Leave room in your schedule so that if you see something beautiful you can pull over to the side of the road and admire it.
Thank you so much to Julia for sharing some of her insight about Alaska. If you’d like to learn more about her you can follow along via her blog, Gal Meets Glam, and on instagram as @juliahengel.
