A couple of weeks ago I took a work-related trip to San Diego as part of a press trip for Kia Motors USA. They flew me down with a few other influencers to check out the eco-friendly options that Kia offers (hint: It’s impressive!) and to show us a good time in San Diego. The trip was fairly short, only 3 days, but it was jam-packed activities as we explored San Diego and beyond. Today I’m sharing a little insight into what I packed and wore for this action-packed short trip.

Day 1, Fly to San Diego.
I woke up pretty early this morning to fly to San Diego for the event. After we arrived to the Hard Rock hotel and checked in, Cristen & I spent some quiet time winding down in our room before getting ready for the evening festivities.
Wearing Rujuta Sheth Noir Jumper (c/o Akin & Co.), Cuyana Crossbody Pouch, J.Crew Lanie Stacked Heel Sandals (similar by Steve Madden).
Day 1, Welcome dinner.
That evening we attended a welcome dinner at Rustic Root, and followed up with more mingling in the hospitality suite. All-in-all it was a fancier night of networking and dinner.
Wearing Prada Timeless Sunglasses, Cuyana Summer Hat (didn’t end up wearing), Cuyana Button Down Silk Shirt (similar relaxed collarless silk shirt by Everlane), Cuyana Classic Leather Zipper Tote, & Other Stories Ultra Slim Button Fly Denim (c/o), Kate Spade Saturday Sandals (similar by Ancient Greek Sandals).
Day 2, Ride & Drive.
For the morning and afternoon of Day 2, I attended an information panel, then got to hop into a Kia Niro with Tiffany, Cristen, & Kira to explore the town. Usually for these they have a set driving area, but we veered off course a little to work on our video for the karaoke contest (If you want to see me embarrassing myself and dancing like a fool you should watch it, ha!). I flew my DJI Mavic Pro drone to film quite a few shots as we didn’t have a tripod with us.

Day 2, Rockstar Karaoke.
This evening was full of surprises, as it included karaoke with a live band. I’ve never done karaoke before as I don’t fancy embarrassing myself and singing is not my strong suite, but it was a lot less intimidating with a live band and more background noise (haha). My outfit worked out perfect and I was only tempted to take off my jacket once after working up a sweat on stage.

Day 3, Flight home.
Since there weren’t a whole lot of plans and I needed some extra space in my suitcase, I opted to wear my hat instead of packing it and to also wear my leather jacket instead of the kimono to save space in my luggage.

Some outfit and packing list notes.
The outfits I packed were pretty spot on and I only replaced the H&M Divided Swim Coverup (this one looks similar) with the leather jacket on the flight home to save space in my suitcase. I don’t know if I would have left anything out except for the hat. I didn’t wear it much since it wasn’t sunny and didn’t get in any pool time. During this trip my favorite item I packed was the Kate Spade Saturday Sandals (similar by Ancient Greek Sandals) because although they are not the most comfortable shoes, they were flat! If I visited again in June, I’d probably pack a little more layers or a light sweater as San Diego can be known for it’s “June Gloom” weather during this time. I didn’t even get to use my swimsuit, though the hot tub was pretty tempting!
