On our way to Turks & Caicos, we had an 8 hour layover in Seattle, Washington. Instead of sitting around the airport trying to keep the kids out of trouble, we were picked up by some family and whisked away to Alki Beach in West Seattle to hang out for a bit.

The day was beautiful and warm for October, but there was still a breeze out on the point. The beach was nothing we are used to, it was full of larger smooth stones instead of sand. We gawked at the Alki Point Lighthouse from afar and searched for goodies on the beach. The boys found several large clam shells and cool rocks.

After watching a glowing sunset, we enjoyed dinner at Cactus. The braised brisket tacos were to die for, and so were the Nachos (Aiden says so).

When we arrived back at the airport, the line for security was short and we cozied up at the gate until it was time for our flight. I can’t wait to share more of our trip to Turks & Caicos with you in the coming weeks. Hopefully it will add a little warmth to the Fall season!

I’m wearing a light sweater by Tiger of Sweden (similar), Celine ‘Pretty’ sunglassesa J.Crew silk tank top, stretchy harem pants from Denmark (similar), and my favorite loafers, the everlane modern point.
