This Fall one of my trips was to Beaches Negril Resort & Spa in beautiful Jamaica. It was a part of my trip to the Social Media on the Sand conference. I brought along my friend (and quite often photographer) Kate. The weather was more humid than our trip to Beaches Turks & Caicos, but it was also a little cooler which was nice.

The conference mainly held sessions in the morning with free time built into the afternoon. I loved that Beaches Negril was smaller than the one in Turks & Caicos. It felt more intimate and the staff was especially helpful. The entertainment staff especially went the extra mile to be sure we were enjoying our evenings. I may or may not have brought home some Jamaican dance moves, so let’s home I remember them right when my husband’s holiday party rolls around, ha!

During our other down time we spent lots of time paddle boarding, snorkeling, and just lounging on the white sand beach. Sting Rays and starfish were pretty common to spot from the shore, although one of the other critters there are sand fleas (and those are most definitely not my friend).

Overall the resort was lovely and we definitely enjoyed spending our time there. I hope to go back some day with my family.
