20 Swimsuits That Double as Shirts, and tips for choosing the perfect double-duty swimsuit for your summer travels.

One of my favorite tips for traveling light during the Summer is to pack one-piece swimsuits that can double as shirts. It’s as simple as that! Today I’m sharing some of my favorite one-piece swimsuits with you in hopes that it will inspire some of your Summer travel packing to be a little lighter.

Tips for choosing a double-duty swimsuit:

  1. Do choose a color and print that you would also buy as a top.
  2. Don’t pick a suit that is more revealing than your most risque top.
  3. Do look for a suit that has blouse-like details, like a ruffled hem.
  4. Don’t choose a suit that has mesh, see-through, or woven details.
  5. Do find a suit that is similar in design to a body suit.

    I love having a versatile swimsuit. These options really are fabulous ideas. When we head to the Atlantic Ocean over summer season, I often need a swimsuit that can double as a shirt because I don’t want to have to keep changing to jump waves with the kids then enjoy a walk on the board walk, these are great options!

    This made me so happy! I love the idea of a day at the beach and then putting on a skirt or shorts and heading right to dinner from the beach. No need to change! The sun dries everything anyway!
    Some awesome fashions here and it would be hard to choose a favorite. I’m partial to the stripes. I bet they’re flattering on everyone.

    This is such a wonderful idea! I love to wear body suits, and this would be nearly the same thing. Plus, swimsuits are light to pack and take up very little space. You picked some really great ones above. I think I’d have to go with the strips. They’re become my summer obsession. x

    I never in a million years would have thought to wear a bathing suit as a top, but it makes sense if you’re choosing one that does look like a body suit.

    I love the ones with ruffles off the shoulders and the gingham blue one is too cute too!
