I haven’t shared much of my trip to Jamaica, but it was a blast. It was for Social Media on the Sand, and was filled with a lot of rejuvenating moments alone and with good friends. I love to dress up a little for dinner when I travel. My good friend (and photographer) Kate took these photos for me before dinner one night.
It had just finished raining (pouring, dumping) and most of the walkways were covered in water so I gave up on wearing shoes. The dress I’m wearing is by Cuyana, and it’s one of my favorite versatile pieces in my wardrobe. Most of the jewelry I’m wearing is borrowed from Ariel Gordon Jewelry, another one of my favorites. I’m thinking of picking up the necklace for a holiday party next week.
Getting real for a second, this week has been hard. Really hard. While respecting my family’s privacy, I’ve been out of town most of this week for a family emergency. Everything is okay now, but the healing process is taking longer than I’d like and I’m trying to be as patient as possible while still remaining supportive and loving. It’s been so very hard to balance time between work, family, more family, and tending to my own personal well-being. Next week I’m expecting more of the same.
