Not too long ago I stayed the night at a beautiful place called the Farmhouse Inn, near one of my very favorite areas, Russian River. I don’t pass on any chance to visit that area of California, so of course I was on cloud nine after they reached out. I headed that way after my Sunset Magazine Garden Tour nearby, and took a little time to get some much needed R&R.
Everything about my stay was relaxing, from the beautiful room and soft palette, to the spa bar I got to pick and choose my favorite scrubs and soaks for a relaxing bath in the gigantic marble bathroom (Um, yes please!). I had dinner nearby at a place called Backyard, which serves farm-to-table local and organic fare. Walking around after I got back to the hotel I ran into their cat, Charlotte. She was really nice and sat by me near the s’mores/firepits (wanted leftovers? ha!), and then went on her own way.
All-in-all the Farmhouse Inn is a place I would visit and not want to leave. They had a delicious breakfast for me the next morning, and the service was impeccable. It felt so cozy and private, yet full of all of the larger resort-type amenities that I enjoy. I’d love to return sometime soon with my husband for a little romantic getaway.
The Farmhouse Inn was gracious enough to host me during my stay. This is my honest review and photos from my stay there.
