Make Salt Dough Ornaments

Last weekend the boys and I decided to make salt dough ornaments for the tree. Awhile back Aiden had a project in school that was a model of California’s regions made from salt dough so I just decided to apply the same recipe to make ornaments.

1c flour
1/2c salt
1/2c water

They’re really easy. Just mix everything together, roll it out and make your ornaments, and let them dry for a few days before painting or hanging. If you are in a hurry you can place them in the oven on the lowest setting for 3-4 hours.

Ours look a little rough because we didn’t have table salt and I made the mistake of using kosher salt. Oh well, it gives them a little character.
