Do you ever have those days where you don’t feel like getting dressed? You drag your feet or simply don’t have time to put that much effort into your look? I find more often than not, it’s one of those days and for some reason I can’t just add hours into the day, so I’m left with only a few minutes to get dressed and ready for the day. Since I only wash my hair 1-2 times a week, my daily makeup routine was the next for me to shave some time off of. I like to stick with neutral makeup, that requires as little effort as possible, while still making me look and feel better than if I just rolled out of bed. Today I’m sharing my 5 minute makeup routine with you, and a few quick tips to shorten your makeup routine as well. See the full routine below!

My 5 Minute Neutral Makeup

Step 1.
Apply Aesop Sage & Zinc Facial Hydrating Cream, then follow up wtih dabs of Aesop Parsley Anti-Oxidant Eye Cream around the eyes.

Step 2.
Apply a pea-sized amount of Skin79 Super+ Beblesh Balm Bb Cream Triple Function in Pink Label from the center of the face, outwards. A little goes a long way. Follow up around the eyes with bareMinerals Bare Skin Concealer in Medium (c/o bareMinerals) using the Beauty Blender Pro Sponge in Black to blend. I set it using the bareMinerals READY Touch Up Veil in Translucent and the Sephora Collection Face Brush #30.

Step 3.
Using the lower right color (contour) in the Ish Contour Kit in Light/Medium (c/o fabfitfun) and the Dior Professional Finish Blush Brush, then lightly fill in my eyebrows using Mac Eye Brows Brow Pencil in Lingering.

Step 4.
Line lower and upper waterlines using Sephora Collection Eye Pencil to go in White, then dab a small amount of Giorgio Armani Eye Tints in Gold Ashes (c/o influenster), in the inner corners of eyelids and blend outward with a clean finger. Curl lashes using Japonesque Power Curl Eyelash Curler, followed with a few coats of Giorgio Armani Eccentrico Eyes to Kill Mascara (c/o influenster).

Step 5.
Finish up with a quick application of bareMinerals Gen Nude Radiant Lipstick in Honey Bun (c/o bareMinerals) and you’re done!

Some of my favorite products here I really love because they can serve a dual-duty purpose. The bareMinerals READY Touch Up Veil in Translucent can serve as a setting powder, touch up powder later on, and in a pinch it can be used as a dry shampoo. The Mac Eye Brows Brow Pencil in Lingering can be used as both an eyebrow pencil and an eyeliner if you’d love to add a little drama to your look quickly. I’ve even used it as a lipliner before while on the go (I love it’s ashy neutral color). The Giorgio Armani Eye Tints in Gold Ashes (c/o influenster) can be used as both a liquid eye tint, and a highlighter or strobing look. Add a couple dabs to the tip of your nose and cheekbones to give your face a little extra glow.

I also love that several of my facial products contain SPF 15, which makes me not have to worry as much about applying sunscreen to my face later on. The Aesop Sage & Zinc Facial Hydrating Cream is SPF X,  Skin79 Super+ Beblesh Balm Bb Cream Triple Function in Pink Label is SPF 30 and the bareMinerals READY Touch Up Veil in Translucent is SPF 15. Being over 30 now (yikes), I’ve come to learn to take better care to hide my skin from the sun.

  1. Your makeup looks flawless on your face. I love the lip color you used. I’m a minimalist when it comes to make up. As long as I have eye shadow, eye liner, concealer, face powder, and lipstick….I’m good. Thanks for sharing the products you use..

  2. I really like the final look! You did a great job with your eyes and the lipstick choice is perfect.

  3. For days when I’m running late or don’t want to wear much makeup, I will also use a BB cream over my moisturizer. I usually combine that with some mascara and a tinted lip balm. Even I want to make a little more effort I might wear a lip gloss or a bit of blush.

I like minimal make-up looks compared to the how the women use make-up these days. The more natural looking the better. I think this is an awesome look, it’s clean and simple!

  5. You look so beautiful and natural, I love this look on you! 😀

  6. Your make-up looks natural, its better for me because it looks like natural. You got a good choice.

  7. I love wearing makeup but will say I love neutral colors verses the darker shades. Less is more in my book . You look amazing and your flawless look works well on you. Thanks for sharing your how do list. I always have a hard time applying eye makeup.

  8. Yay yay! I suggest more beauty posts!

  9. As a guy, I’m all for the minimal makeup movement (is that a thing?) Most guys I know feel the same way, it often seems women dress up to impress each other, not the uguys.

  10. I love the neutral look. I personally don’t wear a ton of make up because it makes my face breakout.
