Packing for Stockholm (on sale!)

Ever since our trip to Copenhagen and Malmö I’ve been dying to head to another place in Scandinavia, Stockholm! Since it has been the summer of California as far as my travels go, I thought I’d take today to share a sort of packing wishlist for the stylish city of Stockholm, Sweden. I’ve compiled a packing list for summer in Sweden with enough items for 10 different outfits that all fit into a carry-on suitcase. All of the items are on sale during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, so get them while they’re hot!

It’s currently summer in Sweden, with temperatures ranging between 50F and 70F with a little rain here and there which is basically my dream weather. As far as activities, I’d anticipate exploring most of the city, walking the streets and checking into little shops and cafe’s whenever the moment strikes me. All of the items will mix well for casual-chic outfits, with the ability to dress them up when you need to. I think my favorite item on this list is this cashmere cardigan. It looks so cozy.

  1. We visited Stockholm back in June 2015, and barring any huge style-changes since then, I’d say your list is spot-on! So many grey, black, and white garments. In early June it was still chilly, but my long cardi and chelsea boots got me through. I’ve been dying to go back, especially around the holidays.

    1. Ahhh, so good to know. When we were in Copenhagen and Malmö it was pretty similar too. I just love Scandinavian style.

  2. I would love to travel around Scandinavia someday with my kiddos. Stockholm would be an especially amazing place to pay a visit!

    1. We had a blast in Copenhagen, and it felt very kid-friendly! I highly suggest it. 🙂

  3. Your first picture makes me want to start packing my bags as well! I love the idea of packing items that are interchangeable and able to dress up or dress down depending on the occasion. I know from my time spent in Germany that you want to have plenty of extra space in your bags for all the fun things you want to bring back, so it’s nice to pack light on the way there!
