Relaxing in Maui

Just before we left for Maui, it seemed as if Murphy’s Law was in effect at our house. We had a plumber out twice, couldn’t do laundry until the day before our flight, stuff didn’t fit into suitcases, Søren was in full threenager mode, I only slept a few hours before the flight, after we got to the airport someone (Søren) managed to spill an entire drink on the airport carpet (sorry!), and we couldn’t pre-board to install his carseat. Luckily the seat was easy to install and our flight from San Jose to Kahului was mostly smooth, even if Søren refused to nap until the third hour. Maui welcomed us with open arms, but also with heavy winds and a torrential downpour. Luckily we snagged our rental car before the rain started and checked into our hotel with no issues. After that, everything started to look up. We decided it was best to spend the next day relaxing in Maui, so we did just that.

    1. I was so happy when it seemed like the storm was over, haha. We had some other fun stuff happen like Søren getting carsick and being flooded out of a pool area, but it paled in comparison to our pre-trip disasters.

  3. Aww, just looking at these pictures makes me feel relaxed.

  4. We will be there in two short weeks. Yippee! Love Maui.
