Spinach Smoothie, Healthy for Fall

Spinach Smoothie Recipe for Fall

I know that everyone raves about pumpkin in the fall, but it’s really not my thing. Lately I’ve been into this delicious spinach smoothie recipe my friend Judy shared with me. And lucky you, she gave me permission to share with you too! The taste is very mild, and it isn’t too cold to drink right away. It reminds me of a frothier version of green juice, and it’s only roughly 60 calories per serving.

Fall Spinach Smoothie Ingredients

Ingredients:
(serves 4. 5 minutes total.)

1c Water
1c Ice
2 Bananas (medium)
2 large handfuls of baby spinach
Juice of 1 Lemon (or a splash of lemon juice)

Method:
Place the ingredients in your blender in the order listed. Blend until smooth and frothy. Divide up between 4 cups.

That’s it, enjoy!

The best part about this recipe for me is that Spinach season in California runs until around November and I live next to one of the largest growing regions for baby spinach in the state.

I think it is. The flavor is mild so it’s not overwhelming, and it doesn’t fill you up or make you feel heavy.

  2. And it’s a pretty color 🙂
