Aiden has been studying California missions in school and I got to tag along as a chaperone on a little field trip to Old Mission San Juan Bautista, in San Juan Bautista, California. There is a lot of interesting history at the mission and the kids were really excited to see in person all of the things that they have been studying in school.
It looks so beautiful. Adding it to my list of places to visit!
Can you believe that I’ve never visited any of California’s missions before? Not even Mission Dolores in SF despite regularly visiting the Mission District to hang out in Dolores Park or get ice cream from Bi-Rite! The old Mission is just there but I’ve never stopped to look. I really must do something about that.
Thanks for the inspiration 🙂
I hadn’t either until this! And I feel ya on Dolores and Bi-Rite, they’re just too good to give up, lol.
I have taken several of those same photos! Love Mission SJB!
Nice! I want to go back to explore with more time to look around, the FT was sort of rushed. 🙁
looks very interesting! love the photos!
It was really interesting. I don’t know why we’ve never gone before, we live so close!
