It’s always been our tradition to get our Christmas Tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. This year I was really set on going to a tree farm since we’d never been to one before but weekend’s weather forecast called for rain. I watched the weather closely, paying special attention to the radar for a break in the rain and when one came up, we made a mad dash for it. It turns out the radar isn’t as accurate as it looks and it started pouring again on our way. I hope this tree knows how much it is loved, we hiked through muddy canyons and pouring rain to get it. It is a White Fir. At this farm they ask you to leave about 5 whorls at the bottom when you cut your tree so that a new one will grow in it’s place. Perhaps in 8 years we can come back to the very same tree and see the new one grown in it’s place.

I can’t wait to share! I had to work on some other pieces for it before I can decorate.

I never thought about a tree farm as stunning until now, beautiful even in rainy weather!

Yes, it was very beautiful! I wish I had brought a spare change of clothes though, haha. 🙂

Look at you guys all bundled up in your black puffers!

Aiden’s is the one I got at Uniqlo! 🙂
