Destination Paris!

Travel Light - Pack for Winter in Paris. 20 items, 10 outfits, 1 carry-on.

We’re off to Paris soon, and while I’m part-excited, I’m also part-nervous. I have my packing list done, that’s always the easy part for me. I have to admit that it’s not a destination that I’ve been dying to get to. That said, I think this will be a pretty laid back trip. My husband and I don’t take a lot of time to ourselves when it comes to our family, so this trip will be a chance to finally do that. I look forward to long walks doing absolutely nothing, and taking a relaxing bath every night. I might even get to open a book, wow! It seems that I might be on the non-popular side of Paris opinions though, as several of our friends have already recommended a plethora of amazing things for us to check out. I’ve included them below.

Yosemite National Park in the Winter

Yosemite National Park in the Winter

At the tail end of last year we finally managed to make a trip to Yosemite National Park. We live just a few hours away, but for some reason it’s never high on our priority list. It was almost as if someone flipped a switch, and we went from dry and snowless to a Winter wonderland. My car is all-wheel drive, so I did not have to chain, but I can see how others might have needed to. Some of the parking areas were icy in places, and our first stop was no exception.

Winter on Treasure Island

Winter outfit with gray wool coat and nike shoes

Wearing: H&M Conscious Wool Coat, Prada Timeless Sunglasses, Acne Studios White Tee (Similar by Acne), AG Stevie Denim (Similar), Cuyana Leather Zipper Tote, Nike Free RN Shoes.

It’s Friday! I’m really excited to share an outfit from a week that was a little more sunny than our current one. I ventured out to Treasure Island with my friend Elisabeth as part of a little day trip down the coast and we had a ton of fun. I’ve always loved Treasure Island for it’s striking views of the San Francisco skyline. We even spent some time there for Earth Hour a few years ago. The coat I’m wearing is from the H&M Conscious line, and although I’m not sold on the fit, I really like the style and color. I might have it altered to fit my frame a little better.
