I live less than an hour south of San Francisco, but in all honesty I don’t get to spend a lot of free time there. I’m always going up for work events and meetings, but it’s rare that I get to go up for a day of fun. When I do, it’s usually in the Summer and it’s spent on the quiet side of San Francisco, the beach side! Today I’ve partnered with & Other Stories. to share a little bit of my adventure there with my friend Elisabeth and a few of my favorites in that area.

Last month I brought my husband along on a 5 day trip to Paris, as a little romantic post-valentines getaway for us without the little ones in tow. Lufthansa was kind enough to send us along and partner with me for this trip, and today I’m happy to share how we spent 5 days in Paris. We had a ton of great suggestions for Paris from friends, family, and readers via e-mail, blog comments, and various social media. There were so many that I knew we’d never get to all of them, but we did what we could. So without any further delay, here’s how we spent 5 days in Paris…
We’re off to Paris soon, and while I’m part-excited, I’m also part-nervous. I have my packing list done, that’s always the easy part for me. I have to admit that it’s not a destination that I’ve been dying to get to. That said, I think this will be a pretty laid back trip. My husband and I don’t take a lot of time to ourselves when it comes to our family, so this trip will be a chance to finally do that. I look forward to long walks doing absolutely nothing, and taking a relaxing bath every night. I might even get to open a book, wow! It seems that I might be on the non-popular side of Paris opinions though, as several of our friends have already recommended a plethora of amazing things for us to check out. I’ve included them below.
I’ve always been pretty harsh with my opinion of Oahu. We spent time there for our honeymoon in the Summer of 2009, so it was pretty busy and crowded. We didn’t do much exploring, so when we decided to go back this past October, I was really excited to see some less-touristy sights. I’m happy to say that we had a much better experience this time and today I’m happy to share a guide to North Shore Oahu.
