Wearing Layers in Iceland

Dressing in layers for Summer in Iceland

Layered outfit in Iceland during Summer Layered outfit for an Iceland Summer Layered outfit for an Iceland Summer

Wearing: Everlane Chunky Wool Beanie , Cuyana Alpaca Cape , Spiewak Aviation Eskimo Parka (recycled down), Waffle Sweater (similar by Wilfred Free), VS Sport Highrise Knockout Tight, Ugg Cecile Waterproof Boots

Most of our time spent in Iceland was more than warm enough to sub my parka with wearing layers, other days I spent wearing layers and a jacket to keep warm. I used my Cuyana Cape quite often as a warm scarf for the windier and chillier days. I also used it on the plane as a nice sweater to bundle up in, it’s a wonderful versatile piece and is one of my wardrobe favorites for sure.

I just returned from my trip to Vancouver so this weekend I’m taking some time to decompress from the trip and spend some time with family. Aiden starts school on Monday so it’s our last weekend outside of the school year as well. Next week I need to also prep for a little getaway next week to Napa.

  10. I’m thinking about buying these boots for a trip to Iceland in March! Were they actually waterproof?

    1. Yes, they’re waterproof! 🙂 Through rain, mud, and the various other types of water I walked in (only up so high though, obviously).

  11. Love your style! Heading to Norway soon and your style and tips help! Is your Cuyana Cape warm?

    1. Yes, warm enough! If it’s very cold though I’d definitely layer a warmer jacket over it.
