Highway 1, San Francisco to Santa Cruz

Fall is my favorite time at the beach in California. It’s always less crowded and more fun to visit when you’re not baking in the hot Summer sun. This Fall I partnered with Lexus to do a drive down the coast in their RC F model and had a blast driving it down my favorite part of the beautiful California coastline. I brought my friend Elisabeth along, and we drove down Highway 1 from San Francisco to Santa Cruz. The weather was beautiful and the traffic was light as we left San Francisco. We stopped along the way at Devil’s slide, Half Moon Bay, Redondo Beach, Pigeon Point Lighthouse, Natural Bridges, and West Side Santa Cruz for dinner. We also made a ton of other little stops too, because Highway 1 is breathtaking.

The outfit I wore is really simple, and comfortable to ride in. Aside from a little wind, I didn’t need to add a bunch of layers every time we stepped out of the car (totally guilty of having to do this in Iceland). The Madewell sweater and Acne Studios jeans have been favorites in my wardrobe for quite some time and made the cut during my big minimal closet cleanout. I got the Nikes before our trip to Iceland and find myself wearing them pretty often. They’re comfortable and look stylish with most everything.

This weekend I am holding mini-sessions for my photography business, fingers crossed hoping to not get rained out. I’m also trying to finish up a ton of work before the holiday and spending time with family next week, so we’ll see if I can actually get it done. My productivity has been low lately and I’ve been trying to keep these inspiring quotes in my head so I can look on the bright side. I’m also hoping to get most of Aiden’s room done, as it’s taken a little bit of a new direction since I shared my plan for his space.
