Packing for Napa in the Fall

Packing for Napa in the Fall, what's in my suitcase?
In my suitcase: Melissa Sauce Sandals, Michael Kors Heels (I actually packed a different pair, but they didn’t make the closet cut), Cuyana Summer Hat, Céline Pretty Sunglasses (similar by Karen Walker), Prada SunglassesEmerson Fry Split Neck Silk Dress (similar by A.P.C.), Withings Activité Steel, Cos Silk Dress (similar by Elizabeth Suzann), Zara Basic Trench (similar at La Garconne), Cuyana Classic Carryall, Cuyana Convertible Clutch

For my little getaway to Napa a couple of weeks ago, it wasn’t really a challenge to pack light. Packing for Napa was harder for me because I was more nervous about if I were dressed appropriately, ha. I knew everything would easily fit into my suitcase. I tried to keep my Napa Packing list in mind, but the weather wasn’t quite that cold yet. The first day we left from a semi-chilly San Francisco to go wine-tasting and have dinner in a wine cave at Padis Family Vineyards, so there was quite a change of scenery from one activity to the next. The day after I co-hosted an event at Padis Jewelers for Maps by A.Jaffe. The weather was cooler in San Francisco, but pretty mild in Napa.

All in all it was a wonderful quick trip, and I’m not sure why I was fretting so much about my attire. I tried so many different outfits before actually settling on these that I was almost late to the event (so not like me). I had these out from the start and should have just gone with my gut instinct instead of second guessing myself.

  1. Packing is always tough for me. Your outfit looked great. It is hard to get the clothing right and not over pack and sometimes I wish for outfits I did not bring. It looks like you had a great time

  2. Gosh, I always really love your packing posts because you give so much perspective with just a few different angles. I also love all your clothes! xx Adaleta Avdic

  5. Such great tips, I love everything you packed. I would love to go to napa!

  6. This is perfect since I’m going to Europe in the fall this year. Did you find laundry facilities along the way? or did your hotel provide laundering services? Also, what kind of suitcase is that??? It’s super cute! I’m thinking of using compression cubes along with these great tips.
    Thanks for sharing!

    1. Hi Sandra! This particular trip was only 2 days long, so I’m not sure that it’s a great example for your trip. I think a better example would be my Fall in Copenhagen packing list which you can find right here. I don’t typically do laundry along the way unless I absolutely have to, and while I use packing cubes, they’re not super compressed as I don’t want my clothing wrinkled.
