What I Wore In Paris

What to wear in Paris for 5 days in the winter | @hejdoll | www.hejdoll.com

Lately I’ve been sharing a lot more about my real life outfits from my travels and packing lists, so today I thought I’d add another post to the What I Wore Series. Our trip to Paris wasn’t very long, but with fall in swing and winter on the horizon, I thought I’d share what I wore during my trip to Paris last winter.

Day 1, Fly from San Jose to Paris via Frankfurt

We spent a lot of time in transit during this day, so accommodating the varying temperature between the plane and airport areas along with the necessary comfort requirements of long-haul travel was my priority. Once we arrived we checked in and headed to dinner.

Day 2, Professional Tourists

We attempted to pack in a lot of major tourist sites today and did quite a bit of walking around town.

Day 4, Wandering sights.

While we had lots of plans for today, most of it was spent wandering the Musee du Louvre and the catacombs.

Day 5, Thursday

Scraped our original plan of leaving the city to see Versailles and chose to visit the Salvador Dali museum, Sacre-Coeur, and Notre Dame. It involved lots of walking and steps (again, ha). It even decided to rain a little on this day.

Day 6, Friday
3AM wake up call to fly back home. I basically wore the same outfit I flew in with and it’s something I typically do as long as my clothing isn’t too dirty to re-wear. I am a creature of comfort, what can I say?

Paris outfit and packing list notes.

As far as the weather and our activities, what I packed was perfect. I didn’t end up wearing every single item but still felt like I had plenty of items to cover changes in weather and activities. If I had to leave a couple of items at home, it would likely be my wool dress and the ankle boots. I didn’t wear either at all after landing in Paris.

  1. Those black boots are sheer, sheer, sheer perfection. I think you packed wisely for your trip. Anything with a minimalist approach is a sure win in my eyes!

  2. It looks like you packed very lightly and made it all work. I always have the problem of packing way to many items when I go for a short trip, so I need to read more of your advice. Thanks for taking us on a virtual trip with you to France as it is always great to see places I’ve never been too.

I have a rule. If i think i packed enough I should take out a couple outfits. I always wear the same thing back and forth on the plane. I am a creature of habit and comfort clothes are my habit.

  4. You had me at Paris. I LOVE it there. But those outfits – so cute, so chic, and so perfect for Paris. You did a great job with picking out the ideal travel wardrobe.

  5. Gemille Sleweon

I’ve always wanted to visit Paris. It seems like such a beautiful city with rich culture. These outfits are so cute! Glad you had a great trip!

  6. I love the simplicity of all these looks – yet they’re still chic. That is what the french are known for! I find that whenever I pack for a weekend trip I have most of the basics but I am always missing that one essential item tht throws everything off!

  7. Love your content! I have an upcoming Paris trip in January, so I’m looking forward to checking out more of yours from Paris (:
