A few short weeks ago Søren turned three years old (I still don’t believe it). We had a “Not A Box Party” (inspired by the book Not A Box by Antoinette Portis) for him and a few of his friends. I think all the kids really enjoyed it, especially when we gave them all their own boxes to decorate (and take home!). I still find pieces of stickers, balloons, and washi tape around the house and yard. Any time he sees a balloon or any other party gear, he talks about his party. It’s so fun when they get to the age when they are aware of what is going on.

Søren’s shirt is from medium control on Etsy, the flowers were provided by the extremely talented Marisa at ML Garden + Design (seriously, check her out!), the sandwiches are from Whole Foods, cupcakes are from Kara’s Cupcakes (my favorite!) and you can shop the rest of the decor below:

  7. I’m still trying to figure out how you managed to have such a tidy 3 year old birthday party! My house would be in shambles.

Gorgeous decorations and brilliant idea. Your photography is so beautiful. I felt like I was there. My little guy is turning 3 this fall. Looking forward to planning an (off site) party. ;o)
