With all of my talk lately about staying in California and exploring more of it, I thought I’d take it back a little bit to our trip last year to Sea Ranch. We drove north along Highway 1 and ultimately stopped at Jug Handle State Beach.
The weather was warmer than expected, and our boys had fun playing in the small stream that runs along the side of the beach to the ocean. They made boats out of found objects and splashed around until the tide came in. After awhile the wind kicked up and we flew some kites, then headed on our way home. We’ve come here before on a separate trip but didn’t make it down to the beach, so I’m glad we did this time. It’s definitely one we’ll return to in the future and a perfect stop along Highway 1.
